Staining the concrete worktop is easy. Once the worktop has been cast and it has dried so that the forms can be removed, it can be stained. Use the Z Aqua-Tint, which is a water soluble concrete dye formulated for use on concrete countertops.
Z Aqua-Tint comes in seventeen different colors that can be mixed to create nearly any desired tone.
Once you have cast your worktop and taken off the Z Counterform edge forms:
Staining the worktop after casting is much easier than staining it in the mixing phase. With water soluble colors you cannot really make mistakes and you see the actual color immediately when you start spreading it. If you make a mistake, wipe that part of the worktop with a clean, moist rag. Then you can spread more color and fix your mistake easily. Should it still be visible, you can spread new layers of color until the mistake is covered.
